This Grist.org shorty touts the introduction — by 2017 (Fall 2017?) — of a Tesla model at “only” $35,000.
It looks cheap compared to the current Model S, priced at $70K.
So it’s half.
But it’s still a lot of dough, ain’t it?
In addition, there’s this (a quote from somewhere inside the Grist piece):
The new car is rumoured to be about 20% smaller than the Model S and our image shows how it could look.
A lot can happen in 36 months. Perhaps inflation will make $35,000 look like a bargain. Or maybe Tesla won’t get to introduce this on time.
Seems like a really, really desperate grab for some kind of positive news.
